Glass Pet Doors

The patio pet door is easily fit into the frame of your door with a self-adjusting spring loaded top that adjusts to the frame height. Because there is no cutting of holes in doors or windows a patio pet door is great for apartment and town home dwellers who cannot install a more permanent type of door for their dog or cat. In addition to the patio style pet door, there are window pet doors that are great for cats. Often these window installed doors work with electronic or infrared technology. They are activated by a sensor on your pet's collar and do not allow other animals such as stray cats to enter your home.
Some glass doors that use infrared and electronic technology are larger to allow for dog use also. These sliding glass doors are made with safety glass and insulated to make them energy efficient. Although the infrared models take batteries this is a small inconvenience for a door that opens automatically for only your pet. If you have multiple pets an electronic or infrared door is a great idea because you can designate which pets have access by their collar sensors.
